This yoga Intensive is for anyone wanting and willing to experience long practices, develop a meditation practice and learn more about yoga philosophy and the processes of yoga that can lead you to deep internal well being. Well being is experienced when you align and balance all aspects of your being, physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. This 6 day, 50 hour intensive will give you a direct experience of clarity, balance and steadiness within all aspects of your being. 50 hours may be used for continuing education units (CEU) or towards a Teton Yoga Shala teacher training.

Adi Amar brings over 20 years of yoga experience to her classes. An Introduction to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra with Adi Amar (May 6, 2019 1:30 – 3:30 pm)
Who is Patanjali and what is Yoga? In this session you will discover the meaning of Yoga and the significance of the Yoga Sutras as a roadmap to your understanding and experiencing of who you are beyond the limitations of your physical boundaries. The sutras provide masterful insights on how to bring personal balance, well being, and health to all aspects of your being. Through taking personal responsibility and calming the fluctuations of the mind, Yoga processes offer potent techniques to break through the limitations of of our physical experience and set a clear path to experience ease and steadiness within.
Kriya Yoga with Adi Amar (May 7, 2019 1:30 – 3:30 pm)
The yoga of aligning our life energies and action. Kriya Yoga neutralizes the excuses and justifications that we use to create unnecessary suffering. The three pillars of Kriya Yoga untie the knots that bind us and burn new pathways and modes of response from which we operate from. Through action and grace we create the necessary conditions within ourselves to awaken to the freedom of limitless joy.
Overcoming Obstacles with Adi Amar (May 8, 2019 1:30 – 3:30 pm)
The Antaraya: The obstacles on the path of Yoga are integral for our personal evolution and growth. They are not necessarily impediments on the path, but rather act as catalysts that create the friction necessary for transformation. We will examine the nine obstacles, their accompanying symptoms, and the principles that help us to overcome them. If you are willing, every experience of life is an opportunity for growth.
Your Path to Personal Freedom with Adi Amar (May 10, 2019 1:30 – 3:30 pm)
Yoga is a self reliant healing system, it is the self generated suffering that we can and should avoid. The essential Yoga Vitamins and developing a sustainable practice are essential to reducing and even eliminating further unnecessary suffering. We will dive into the Yoga Sutras that describe clearing a path to personal freedom.
