Cassandra grew up in Teton Village, Wyoming where she spent most of her time on skis or untangling her father’s fly-fishing line. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder to study Literature and Sociology. This is where she first became aware of the amazing community of people dedicated to the practice of yoga. She was stunned by the powerful sense of well-being she felt after a class.
After graduating, she spent a year and a half teaching English in a small town on the border of Thailand and Laos. This endeavor truly required she find calm within chaos. After traveling, she felt the mountains of home pulling her back.
She has completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training at the Teton Yoga Shala under the guidance of Adi Amar and Angela Tong. When she is not in Shavasana, she tutors local students, works at a radio station, writes poetry, and listens to podcasts.
