MJ Miller
MJ started practicing yoga at a young age and began her formal studies while in college. She always knew she wanted to share her passion and the impact it had made on her life. She attributes yoga to saving her life in her teenage years when suffering from an eating disorder and a broken back. She went off to college and took time to travel, connect, and create. In 2017, after opening her eyes to the possibilities of our world, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and Foreign Language. Her education continued when given the opportunity to intern as a trauma-informed yoga instructor at the Children’s Law Center in Denver. That internship has played a pivotal role to reaffirming the power of yoga and why she not only wanted to, but needed to, share it with the world. She moved to Jackson in 2017 and has since worked in social services and have been instructing to a variety of people (all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, languages, social status, age, etc).
Yoga is for everyone and MJ strives to be able to share it with you no matter if it’s your first or millionth time on your mat. She offers both public yoga classes as well as private instruction. Every time you come to your mat you’re invited to move away from the casual and the habitual and towards the intentional and self-aware. This is where the magic exists, in present awareness and outside of comfort zones. Let’s create magic together!
