Yoga Teacher Spotlight: Shoshana Kobrin
We caught up with yoga teacher Shoshana Kobrin to ask her a few questions to get to know her better. Take a peek below to learn more about this lovely adventuring yoga teacher.
Q: What are your yoga classes like? What styles/postures/themes do you love to teach?
My classes tend to begin and end with some restorative postures. Generally the middle is a mindful flow.
Q: What kind of students would you recommend taking your class? What kinds of people can you help?
I believe all levels of students would be comfortable in my classes. I like to give options to meet the student where they are, how they are feeling that day, and what style they prefer in general.
Q: What have you learned personally through your own yoga and meditation over the years? Have you overcome certain obstacles, healed certain injuries or emotional wounds, and grown as a person in specific ways?
I have learned to be kind to myself. That my practice has changed and will continue to do so as I do in life, and it’s okay.
Q: What is on your yoga soundtrack?
Usually a mix of yoga groove loungy music.
Q: What would you do if you weren’t a yoga teacher OR what’s your other job?
My other job is as a Spanish Language Arts teacher at Jackson Hole Middle School.
Q: What other activities do you partake in besides yoga?
Anything outside (with pups!): bike, hike, backcountry ski, garden. Inside activities: cooking, knitting, yoga.
Q: What three things are you most grateful for?
My community, my home, to love what I do every day!
